Conewago Gives Back During COVID Crisis

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Conewago is doing all we can to help healthcare organizations and other frontline caregivers, including donating more than 1,400 masks!

Our team donated 480 N95 respirator masks and five cartons of safety goggles to the Visiting Nurses Association of Hanover and Spring Grove. We also donated 480 masks with artic vales to the Brethren Home in Oxford with additional supplies going to Homewood (60 masks) retirement community.

“Conewago’s donation truly demonstrates your strong community spirit. In times like these, it is quite refreshing to experience this type of neighborly humanity. Your donation comes at a most crucial time and will enable VNA staff to keep themselves safe as well as our patients.”

– Bryan S. Warner – President & CEO, VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove

In addition, we have been gathering supplies to donate to several local fire departments and first responders, including SAVES (120 masks), Irishtown (60 masks) and New Oxford (120 masks) volunteer fire companies and Adams County Emergency Service Center (120 masks).

Finally, company president Don Smith, who is partnered with Angel Flight East, recently flew 2,000 miles to transport 20,000 face shields from Muncie, IN to Boston, MA where they were urgently needed for frontline healthcare workers. The face shields were put together by Mursix, a car parts manufacturer in Indiana. Angel Flights is an organization that private pilots can volunteer for, flying patients with medical needs far from home. With most regular medical treatments postponed due to COVID-19, Angel Flight volunteers have turned their attention to transporting medical supplies where they are most needed.
